Rosemary Connor donates her artwork to the community for fund-raising and gives of her time to increase public awareness of the arts. For example, Rosemary:
 
  • donated paintings for 10 years to New Milford Hospital benefits in New Milford, Conn., to help raise funds to provide patient care.
  • donated a painting for the 10th annual New Britain [Connecticut] Museum of American Art's signature spring gala fundraiser − The ART Party of the Year.
  • donated paintings for benefit auctions held by the Housatonic Valley Association (HVA).  The HVA helps protect drinking water, rivers, farmland, open space and ecological habits in the 2,000-square mile Housatonic River Watershed and plans to complete a Greenway from Long Island Sound to Pittsfield, Mass.

  • donated paintings for three years to the Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme, Conn., for fund-raisers to benefit this premier museum of American Impressionists.
  • donated art to Rotary Club fund-raisers to benefit the New Milford community.
  • served on a panel of judges, in both 2005 and 1999, for the New Milford Outdoor Arts Festival, held on the Green in New Milford, Conn. More than 100 artists from the Eastern United States exhibit their work in this two-day event held every June.
  • served as one of the judges for the New Milford Historical Society Memorial Day Exhibition.
  • participated for nine years in group exhibits at Guild Hall Museum, East Hampton, N.Y.; to benefit the museum, 50 percent of the proceeds from sales of her works went to support the institution.
  • serves on the Board of Directors of the Housatonic Art League.
  • donated art to the New Milford Hospital Foundation for its reception room and to the Cancer Center examining rooms to provide a calming focal point for cancer patients.
  • donated paintings to the following organizations: Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust, Pratt Nature Center and Weantinoge Heritage Land Trust.  These groups help preserve the unspoiled beauty, land and environment in Connecticut's Litchfield County.

 

Ongoing exhibits of her paintings in public spaces uplift the mood, as well as bring beauty into everyday existence.
